Successfully orchestrating an extended stay family camping trip requires planning, coordination, cooperation, logistics…
And Coffee.
Lots of it.
My family’s 2024 Middle Saranac Lake camping trip was no exception. For the full coffee-fueled story, click the link & read on.
Looks like great time!
Dick,
It was a pleasure meeting you and your son at #63. Every time I’m up on Middle I
stop by BRB and have a drink or 2, recalling past camping trips and friends.
Allow me to clarify my SOB comment. Driving up to Saranac Lake has become
challenging, at my 74 years of age. 1300 miles round trip can be daunting, and
at times has required an over night stay, depending on weather or traffic.
This trip I was fortunate to be able to drive straight through, coming and going.
I’m sure you had a great stay with family, and are probably already planning
next years trip.
Be well,
Mark
No need to clarify, Mark. As I said in response, “It’s a magical place, man.” Whether we live nearby or far away, folks who’ve experienced Middle Saranac Lake’s magic are willing to put in whatever work is required to get back there & spend time in that spot. I enjoy meeting my ADK Almanack & adirondackoutlaw.com blog readers & sharing experiences. Glad you were able to make the trip & made time to stop in to introduce yourself & say “Hi”. Hope you have many BRB trips ahead & caught some nice fish on this one. “Knees in the Breeze”. All the way. & Then some.
