The clueless, vain criminal must be related to those defacing the Coliseum in Rome with their own carvings.
No respect or appreciation for Classical Historic Architecture.
And the Italian police actively work to arrest and convict those living Coliseum perpetrators they identify and apprehend. Prison sentences for defacing the Coliseum apparently can range up to five years or more. A Russian tourist recently caught by Italian police was fined the euro equivalent of $25,000 U.S. dollars. I hope our NYS law enforcement authorities are as vigilant as their Italian counterparts. Just because something has been done for ages in no way shape or form makes it acceptable or right.
If NYS law enforcement are as vigilant as their Italian counterparts the suspects will be released with an appearance ticket to show for court and answer charges. That is it unfortunately.
